  2.                        TIPS ON WRITING TO CELEBRITIES

  4.     (1) Always include a self-addressed, stamped envelope when you write
  5.         to a Celebrity, you've got a better chance of getting a reply if
  6.         you do. Celebrities are very busy, so by sending a S.A.S.E.  you
  7.         save them a step and your thoughtfulness will be appreciated.

  9.     (2) Keep your letters short.   It is better to send short notes more
  10.         frequently than a long  multi-page  letter which may not be read
  11.         due to lack of time.

  13.     (3) Keep things simple and casual.  Write your letter as if you were
  14.         speaking directly to your favorate celebrity.

  16.     (4) PRINT  and keep it neat.  What good is your letter if no one can
  17.         read it.  If your handwriting is truly a problem, then type your
  18.  
  19.     (5) Begin your letter with Dear ____________, and end with Sincerely
  20.         yours, and your name.

  22.     (6) It a good idea to  mention your favorate celebrity's last movie,
  23.         video, record or TV show - and let them know what you thought of
  24.         it.

  26.     (7) Include a little  bit about yourself. Stars like to know what you
  27.         are like.  You don't have to describe yourself physically, but do
  28.         include personal details like your  interests,  hobbies,  if  you
  29.         share the same birthday, etc.

  31.     (8) You don't have to include a photo of yourself,  but if you choose
  32.         to do so, don't expect to get it back.

  34.     (9) NEVER SEND MONEY, food  or large  expensive  gifts  of  any  kind
  35.         through the  mail.   Celebrities  usually  appreciate  your  warm
  36.         thoughts more than anything else.

  38.    (10) Send a birthday card or a note a few  weeks  before  his  or  her
  39.         birthday to make sure it arrives on time.   You can make the card
  40.         or buy one, either one is fine.

  42.    (11) If you want a fast answer from a celebrity  in  a  foreign  land,
  43.         make  sure  you  include  International  Reply  Coupons that  can
  44.         easily be  purchased at  your local  Post Office.   Ask your mail
  45.         person how many to  send in  order to cover  return  postage from
  46.         your favorate performer.

  48.    (12) DON'T  FORGET  YOUR  NAME  AND  ADDRESS,  both  on  envelopes and
  49.         letters!

  51.    (13) Don't lie  about  the  state  of your  health in order to play on
  52.         your favorite's compassion.
